“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”
Romans 3:28 KJV
Faith is all you need to be saved. Jesus did the rest. And all you need to do is trust Him..
A lot of people like to add their impressions to God’s Word. In other words, they’re under the impression that baptism is necessary for salvation. The same with good works. Living under the impression that something is true is not the same as being taught by the Holy Spirit of God. People all over the globe live under false impressions, believing them to be true.
- All Americans are rich. Americans know that one’s not true.
- A loving God wouldn’t send anyone to Hell. Our loving God (who, by the way, is also just) provided an escape from Hell for all who believe. And our just God (who provided an escape from Hell because he is also loving) demands punishment for sin, so there is a Hell awaiting all unbelievers, regardless of their false impression of God’s nature. (Revelation 20:13-15)
- All religions lead to God. As long as you’re sincere in your belief, God will honor that. Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” God’s talking about the name of Jesus.
- Truth is relative. According to God’s Word, Jesus is The Truth. That is not negotiable. Abortion and homosexuality are legal in the United States, but that doesn’t make them right. They are both an abomination to God.
So what do you need to be saved? Faith; and faith alone. Baptism is important, but it doesn’t save you. Church attendance is important, but it doesn’t save you. Good works are important, but they don’t save you.
Acts 16:31 says, “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 3:28 says, “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”
